Heyo, I'm Cori. I obtained by Bachelor's degree (BA) in Molecular Biology from Pomona College. During my undergraduate career, I explored double-strand break repair mechanisms in yeast (Negritto lab) and exploring cellular compartments and signaling pathways in the "dancing plant" (Jammes lab). I was also awarded an NSF REU PR:CLIMB at the Universidad de Puerto Rico: Rio Piedras, where I investigated the serum transferrin coordination of titanium(IV) as a pathway for insulin sensitivity enhancement for type II diabetes (Tinoco lab). Currently, I am interested in genetic mechanisms and therapies, drug development and design, and virology. Outside of the lab, you can find me on climbing in the Pinnacles, on the soccer pitch, wondering in and out of boba shops, picnicking in Golden Gate Park on a sunny SF day, and chasing sunsets on Mt. Tam.
